For those who like old-style telephones and live in the UK, I can recommend half an hour of James May reassembling one.

I've had the lid off a couple of dial telephones to fit conversion kits for the modern plug-and-socket system, but I certainly didn't reduce them to their component parts. A lot of it was quite familiar, though.
