Pairing-and-prompt meme II
Like
thisbluespirit, I shouldn't be getting distracted — in my case, it's my UC fic that I need to do something about, given the rapidly approaching posting date. But anyway...
Comment with a number, and a pairing/two or more characters, and I'll try to write you a ficlet or drabble.
(Unabridged prompt list from here).
51. “What the hell are you wearing?”
52. “Can I kiss you?”
53. “Who crawls through someone’s window at 4am to go for ice cream?!”
54. “I don’t hate you. I could never hate you. That’s the problem.”
55. “Our first date is a picnic on a beach under the stars? Have you swallowed a romance novel? Do I need to call a doctor?”
56. “I can’t stand the thought of losing you.”
57. “Teach me to fight.”
58. “I’d die for you. Of course, I’d haunt you in the afterlife but really, it’s the thought that counts.”
59. “Tell me to go and I will, but if you ask me to stay I’ll never leave you again.”
60. “Before you decide to murder me, let me explain…”
61. “I love you. I’m completely and utterly in love with you. Please don’t get married.”
62. “It’s only one night, we’ll just share the bed.”
63. “Stop running from this. I know I’m not the only one who feels it.”
64. “Are you ticklish?”
65. “I wish you could see yourself the way I see you.”
66. “The only thing I want is you.”
67. “Of all the people I could’ve gotten stuck in an elevator with and it just had to be you.”
68. “PILLOW FIGHT!”
69. “Why the hell are you bleeding!?”
70. “You’re so beautiful.”
71. “Kiss me, quick!”
72. “I will knock you on your ass if you even think about it.”
73. “We shouldn’t be doing this.”
74. “Don’t let go.”
75. “I’m going for a swim. Do you wanna join me?”
76. “I need you to pretend we’re dating…”
77. “There was never a choice.”
78. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have kissed you.”
79. “That’s the third time I’ve saved your life!”
80. “How can you think I’m anything but hopelessly in love with you?”
81. “I need you to leave.”
82. “This is all your fault! I can’t believe I listened to you!”
83. “It’s always been you.”
84. “I’m dying.”
85. “I will never apologize for saving your life, even if it costs me my own.”
86. “I guess dying with you isn’t the worse way to go.”
87. “You were never just my friend.”
88. “Don’t panic but I think we might have accidentally gotten married…”
89. “I’m not leaving you!”
90. “I can’t do this anymore.”
91. “I remember everything.”
92. “What do you want me to say?”
93. “I tried, but I just can’t stay away from you anymore.”
94. “I bet I can make you scream my name.”
95. “There’s no going back if we do this.”
96. “I never thought you’d hurt me but I was wrong. You hurt me the most.”
97. “I want you and I know you want me too.”
98. “I can’t watch you with someone else. It’s tearing me apart.”
99. “We’re in an abandoned lodge in the middle of nowhere. Sure, you’re totally right, nothing bad could ever happen here.”
100. A quote of your choice.

76. Nyssa, Tegan
100. First Doctor, Vicki, Steven
"I need you to pretend we're dating..." (Nyssa/Tegan, 100 words)
"Starting when?" Nyssa asked calmly.
"As soon as we go in there!" Tegan gestured at the door of the Steel Maiden. "Look, it's a gay bar, and a rough one. If they think we're a couple maybe they'll leave us alone. We get in, we ask the questions, we get out. OK?"
Nyssa nodded. "OK."
"Tegan," Nyssa said. "You never said when we should stop pretending we're dating."
"No. I'll let you know when."
"Only half the town must think we're engaged by now."
"Is that a problem?"
Nyssa kissed her. "On the contrary. I'm already choosing my wedding dress."

"...nothing bad could ever happen here." (One, Steven, Vicki; 100 words)
"Oh, cheer up, Steven," Vicki said. "There's no need to get all grumpy just because it's raining and the roof's leaking a bit."
"Just wait until the werewolves show up," Steven said dourly. "Or ghosts, or Daleks."
Vicki turned to the Doctor. "Nothing's going to show up, is it? Tell him!"
"Quite, my dear." The Doctor took her hand. "With the geology of this region, it's far more probable that the rain might wash out the foundations and the whole building would collapse into a sinkhole. Yes, I think that's a much more likely situation."
Vicki pouted. "You're not helping!"

"We shouldn’t be doing this." (Seven, Ace, Ray; 100 words)
Ray set her mixing bowl down carefully. "If you've got a better idea let's hear it," she said. "Because making a dozen fruitcakes isn't my idea of a fun evening."
"Right." Ace pushed her own bowl aside. "All we do is drop a couple of cans of nitro down the forward ventilator shaft. Problem solved."
"With the slight disadvantage that if you misjudge the quantity required, you blow a hole in the hull and send this ship to the bottom," the Doctor pointed out.
"When have I ever—" Ace began.
Ray had already resumed stirring. "It has been known, cariad."

100 words, One, Ian & Barbara
"Why did I believe the pair of you?" Barbara looked glumly back at the shore. They had definitely drifted further out. "A simple repair, you said."
Ian looked up from the innards of the boat's engine. "It should have been simple. If they hadn't used these wretched locking bolts..."
"Some form of directed sonic energy would appear to be indicated," the Doctor mused. "Perhaps I should conduct a few experiments on those lines back at the TARDIS."
I hope Susan works out what's happened and calls the coastguard, Barbara thought. Or we'll never get back to the TARDIS at all.

51. Lucie & Eight
Language Police (Twelve/Missy (ish), 100 words)
Missy raised her eyebrows. "'Gotten?' What sort of a word do you call that?" She prodded the Doctor in the chest with her parasol. "Have you been hanging around with Americans again?"
"You've been American," the Doctor retorted.
"And you've been an idiot for years, but do you hear me going on about it?" Missy turned back to the control panel, and jabbed it once with her brooch. "There. Activated."
The acceleration threw him into her arms. "What did you activate?" he gasped.
Missy smirked. "'Up and out', of course. That's what happens when you call a lift an elevator."

Automatic Writing (Lucy/Mina/John, 100 words)
Exhausted despite her night's sleep, and not yet properly awake, Mina realised that her commonplace book was lying beside the bed, with writing on its pages that certainly wasn't hers.
My dear Mina...
Lucy's writing.
I hope you will not begrudge me the brief loan of your body...
Spirit possession? Mina found it hard to credit. But then, six months previously, she would have thought the same of vampires.
And then, as the realisation crept over Mina that she was wearing no clothes and Dr Seward was lying beside her, she realised just what Lucy had done with her body.

What the hell are you wearing? (8 & Lucie, 100 words)
"I'm in disguise, of course." There was a clunk as the cell door unlocked. "I couldn't very well have shown up at the gates in my normal clothes, could I?"
"Yeah, I get that. All the guards'll be looking for a weirdo in a frock coat. So you'd disguise yourself as a guard, wouldn't you? Or an inspector or something."
"I had to work with what I could find," the Doctor protested.
"And you're seriously telling me Mother Pigging Goose was the best you could do?"
"This isn't Mother Goose." The Doctor looked hurt. "It's supposed to be Widow Twankey."
