Give me a character's name from a fandom I know. I try to answer these questions for them:

5. One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon.

Jamie. :-)

1. Jamie ought to be, and usually is, terrific fun — to watch, to read and to write.
   
2. This could be long; as Frazer Hines says, Jamie loved the ladies. Victoria and Sam (though these ships may be one-sided: Jamie → Victoria and Sam → Jamie). Kirsty and Fiona, should we be in a continuity where Fiona exists. I've written Jamie/Peri, so she's in. I could see him trying to flirt with most of the other female companions — certainly with Jo, Tegan or Vicki. Zoë might work as a friend-with-benefits, but I don't think she'd have any patience with actual romance. And while I have written Polly/Jamie and Michelle Leuppi/Jamie, there was precious little romance there, either.
   
3. The Doctor is without question Jamie's best friend, with Zoë coming in second.
   
4. Putting the Doctor into category 3 rather than 2 probably counts for one section of the fanbase :-) And my preference for him to have an actual happy ending seems to put me at odds with the authors of most official spinoffs.
   
5. I'd have liked to see him make an appearance in the SJA. For preference, in a hijacked SIDRAT or other home-made time machine, accompanied by Zoë, with the sort of interaction they had in episode 8 of The War Games. Failing that, married to Victoria.

Vicki, Two, & Sam Briggs (If I'm allowed to ask for more than one, that is. *g*)

Vicki

1. She's a bit of a mystery to me. I don't feel, as I do with some of the other characters I've fanficced, that I can be sure what she'd do in any given situation.
2. Vicki/Troilus is canon, of course. Then there's Jamie, as mentioned above, and Steven/Vicki if only for the portmanteau couple name. She also fits quite well with Luke Smith, at least to the point of going out together for a milkshake.
3. The First Doctor. She's the original blonde teenager in whose company the Doctor loses all sense of responsibility.
4. I'm not sure there are unpopular opinions on Vicki.
5. I don't think she was ever in an adventure along the lines of The War Machines or the UNIT era. That might have been interesting, particularly if the writers remembered she's from several centuries the future and would think all the soldiers very quaint and old-fashioned.

Two

1. He's a brilliant, incredible man.
2. I'm not sure. Sure... Shaw... Two/Liz? That could be a match made in Heaven or a call-for-the-brain-bleach moment.
3. As I mentioned in the entry for Jamie, he's obviously got a kindred spirit there.
4. Reusing "I don't ship Two/Jamie" here would be cheating, wouldn't it?
5. That's got to be: I wish more of his stories had survived.

Sam

1. I'd probably find Sam slightly terrifying if she was real and we met in person, but as a character to write she's great.
2. Sam / Jamie is fairly obvious — though she didn't have a lot of alternatives in her one and only story. Other than that, I think she might get on quite well with Mickey.
3. She seems to get on quite well with Jean Rock, in canon and fanfic. And, of course, in the Jamie's Angels stories I've teamed her up with Jamie, Victoria, Zoe, Isobel and Gia Kelly, all at once.
4. I'm not sure there are unpopular opinions about Sam, either. Though my not-entirely-serious theory about her being Heather McCrimmon's grandmother didn't meet with widespread acclaim.
5. I wish her one serial existed and had been released on DVD with Frazer Hines and Pauline Collins on the commentary track. Also, I'd like her to have become a proper companion — provided she'd been able to keep her attitude and her accent, and not been watered down into a generic screamer.

1. Yeah, it's been a bit of time since I watched Sam's episodes, but as I remember she was very... intense.
5. Having her as a proper companion would have been lovely! Makes me curious as to what sorts of adventures she and Jamie and Two would have gotten up to.
