30 Days of Fanfic: Day 22

It's still Day 22 if you use GMT — that's my excuse, anyway.

22) Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favourite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?

I've participated in a number of fests or other writing challenges, but my favourite to be in was unconventionalcourtship. The prompts not only give you the gamut from straightforward romance to almost-gen adventure to utterly bonkers crack, but ready-made plot outlines. The rules aren't particularly onerous, which reduces the pressure, and there are no worries about being assigned a prompt which can't be written. And then there are all the fake novel covers, too. Writing hasn't flowed particularly easily for me this year, but my three UC fics just came tumbling out.
