30 Days of Fanfic: Day 30 and last

30) Do you have a favourite fic you've written? What makes it your favourite? And don't forget to give us a link!

Fond as I am of Ac Velut in Somnis and others, I think my overall favourite remains Relaxation and Recreation.

• It was my first real attempt to write a detective mystery with a Watsonesque first-person narrator. It's not a fair-play whodunnit (just for starters, it breaks Mgr Knox's rule 5, "No Chinaman must figure in the story") but it aims to be more in the spirit of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries, which mostly aren't fair-play whodunnits either.
• I mentioned earlier that one of my fics had had multiple requests for a sequel. This was that sequel. Of course by the time I'd written it, most of those who had asked for a sequel had probably forgotten they'd ever done so, which given the rate at which I write is always a risk.
• It holds the record for the most gushing review any of my fic has ever received.
• And yes, it's a vehicle for Zoë to take centre stage. No surprises there, then.
