Must be a slow news day today

Britain's stately newspaper of record, The Times, has decided to devote several columns of newsprint today to the story that there are fans unhappy with the latest season. They also included a sidebar listing the major online DW forums.

Obviously finding three unhappy fans on a Doctor Who forum is like shooting fish in a barrel, and I'm sure they could have easily dug up similar opinions for any story in the show's history. In the corners of fandom I frequent, I haven't noticed that much more dissatisfaction with this finale than with previous years'. The Times's own reviewer didn't pan it, so I'm wondering a little what's brought this on.
