Been adding more entries to the generator

His eyes met their spines through the window of a charity bookshop...
IF THESE TWO-HUNDRED-YEAR-OLD WALLS COULD TALK...
They'd tell the story of The Master, Cain Blackmore, presiding over his vast empire from the confines of an antebellum mansion, in a prison of his own making...
And of Phoebe Delongpree, who demanded sanctuary, destroying Cain's peace and pushing the limits of his self-control — the same woman who enslaved the recluse with a single kiss years ago...
Inside these four walls, the two of them could indulge their passion. They were safe. But the outside world beckoned, threatening their haven. Would Phoebe ever be able to pull Cain away from the lure of Nine Oaks...and the ghosts that held him in their grasp?
I mean, the Master running his empire under a pseudonym while apparently imprisoned is pretty much (book) canon anyway. But I put it in the generator to see what it could make of it:
( This )101) Montana mail-order Wife – Charlotte Douglas
Rancher Wade Garrett’s mail-order bride turned up with a huge bump on her forehead and a case of amnesia. Rachel O’Riley didn’t know who she was let alone that she’d agreed to a marriage in name only! But handsome Wade certainly aroused her interest.
That looked a bit short to me, so I went in search of the original:
Marrying a stranger!
Rancher Wade Garrett's mailorder bride showed up with a boulder-sized bump on her forehead, an unrecognizable ID and a case of amnesia. Rachel O'Riley didn't know who she was–or that she'd agreed to a marriage in name only! But much to Wade's delight she didn't want a pretend marriage. Rachel wanted Wade to be a real husband to her, and he fell for his beautiful bride-to-be like a ton of bricks. And just when he knew waiting for their wedding night was going to be impossible, he uncovered a secret that changed everything….
The woman in his arms wasn't Rachel O'Riley.
IDENTITY SWAP: Two women's lives have become hopelessly entangled–and only love will set them free!
That made me wonder whether I ought to update the prompt generator with the longer version. So I gave it a try, and when it came out with prompts like these what could I do? ( Prompts follow )
(I also wonder if the generator's pick for romantic false lead was Liz Shaw or Elizabeth Bennet).146) Deeper - Megan Hart
Twenty years ago she had her whole life spread out before her.She was Isobel Watkins, a fresh-scrubbed, middle-class student ready to conquer the design world. And she was taken. Absolutely and completely. But not by Elizabeth, her well-groomed, intellectual girlfriend who had hinted more than once about a ring. No. During that summer she met Zoë Heriot, the moody, dark-haired, local bad girl. She was, to put it mildly, not someone she could take home to Daddy. Instead, Zoë became her dirty little secret — a fervent sexual accomplice who knew how to ignite an all-consuming obsession she had no idea she carried deep within her. Isobel had always wondered what happened to Zoë after that summer. And now, back at the beach house and taking a break from responsibility, from marriage, from life, she discovers her heartbreaking fate — and why she never came back for her. Suddenly Zoë's name is on her lips... her hands on her thighs... dark hair and eyes called back from the swirling gray of purgatory's depths.
383) Hot on Her Tail - Saskia Walker
It wasn’t the knee-high black leather boots or the skintight leather hotpants that grabbed her attention, but the padlocked slave collar she was wearing around her neck.
As she stepped out of the stolen vehicle she’d been chasing, Officer Nyssa of Traken was thunderstruck by the alluring redhead in the provocative attire. Upon further investigation, it soon became clear that despite appearances, Tegan Jovanka was not some crazy car thief dressed like a bondage slave from a porn movie. She was, in fact, the victim in some underhanded maneuvering by her vindictive ex.
Now it was up to Nyssa to help her out of this mess. But the electric attraction that blazed between them soon culminated in a night of explosive passion that would change Nyssa’s life forever.
Right, who's been showing the generator this picture?
466) THE QUEEN'S LADY by Shannon Drake
By trying to help the reckless, defiant Mary Queen of Scots take her rightful place on the throne, Lady Victoria Waterfield is at perilous odds with Jamie McCrimmon, a laird accomplished in both passion and affairs of state.
The more Victoria challenges his intentions, the less he can resist the desire igniting between them. But will Victoria's last daring gamble lead her to the ultimate betrayal - or a destiny greater than she could ever imagine?
sounds like it could have legs as a genuine Two-era historical.
( Sarah and Harry seem to suit the generator quite well )
This was inspired by one of thisbluespirit's generated prompts.

Unconventional Courtship is back!
So I hope everyone who's able is going to sign up and compose some suitably cracky fic. Or pimp it on tumblr. Or make some suitable / unsuitable banners. Or just generate some amusing prompts...
I did force myself to stay within the 15-word limit — which is tough, and sadly means those prompts demanding a deeper exploration will have to remain unexplored.
( The fic )
While I'm here, I'll share a couple of Unconventional Courtship generator prompts that amused me:
SOLDIER'S SECRET CHILD by Caridad Piñeiro
At eighteen, Macy Ward had turned to Fisher Yates for a night of comfort before he left for the military. Now he’s back in town and unaware that Macy’s troubled son is the result of that unforgettable night – until the boy mysteriously disappears…
What caught my eye about it? Well, Fisher-Yates is a well-known algorithm to shuffle a list. I use it in a lot of my random generators (though, as it happens, not the Unconventional Courtship generator). I wonder if it's a deliberate reference to the algorithm?
Oh, and while I'm here... ( Get your brain bleach ready )
Since I know some of my flist enjoy zombie apocalypses, I was amused to see that there is such a thing as a Mills and Boon zombie apocalypse.
You can even read it online. Though given the only review ("this was a cheesy story.... can't she do better") you might decide your time was better spent elsewhere.
By now it's in the generator, of course.
I'll also share some of the prompts I got while testing. ( Romance! Drama! Dashing heroes! )
I was rather busy at the weekend and missed snowflake_challenge
days 10 and 11. I'll have to come back to them at some point. For now, though,
number 12 is delightfully apposite.
Day 12
In your own space, talk about what you bring to fandom. It can be something tangible, or not. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I think that my contributions can be mainly summed up in two links: fanfic and random prompt generators. OK, there's a bit more than that; I sometimes annoy people with nitpicky forum posts, or muck about with doll generators or image macros, but they're very much a minor element.
What makes this question so appropriate for today is that I've just uploaded quite a significant update to the Unconventional Courtship Random Generator. New features include:
From time to time, as I've transcribed romance novel summaries into the generator, I've come across ones which merited a brief comment. For example, there's Wedding Cake Wishes by Dana Corbit: ( Under the cut )

Starting in a position of comparative sanity, number 89 is an excellent fit for Amy and Rory:
( Guilty Secrets by Virginia Kantra )And now I can divulge the reason I've been rereading the prompts list. It's because I've been experimenting with JavaScript again, and now it's time to strap the electrodes on, wait for a thunderstorm and watch the monster shamble down to the village.
{ Behold. }
Let me know if you've got suggestions for improvements (more fandoms, more prompts) or bugfixes (characters with the wrong gender, 'husband' where you'd expect 'wife', etc.)
Some sample output can be seen under the cut.

21)STORM OF SEDUCTION by Cindy Gerard
Tonya Griffin had been a lovestruck assistant when she had thrown herself at her boss. Twelve years later, Web Tyler was making the now-famous photographer a lucrative offer. Tonya had dreamed of this moment for years, but her revenge had soured: Web Tyler had forgotten their night together!
So... one's a photographer, one's an amnesiac, and I didn't spot such an obvious Zoë/Isobel prompt until now? Shocking.

Trouble becomes him.
Reporter [Frederick Wentworth]’s penchant for working in war zones had gotten him into hot water before, but this was uncharted territory, even for him. Because the pilot assigned to fly him into danger was none other than [Anne Elliot].
Once she’d been [Annabelle May], an eighteen-year-old girl who’d looked at him starry eyed. Now she was [Anne], a very competent professional, whose eyes seemed to hold all manners of secrets. If [Anne] was thrown by learning who her new client was, she couldn’t afford to show it – or the fact that her strong feelings for [Frederick] hadn’t changed.
But if he couldn’t accept who she was back them, what would he possibly want with her now – now that life had taken a direction neither of them could have imagined…and left them both clinging to each other for their survival?
Also, the banners are as addictive as ever.
