Trippy, man

Remember that story in the news a while ago about Google programming image-recognition neural networks to create 'dream' images? Like this. Well, they've released the source code.

I had a go at downloading and setting up a Python environment to run it, but couldn't get it to work. Fortunately, however, someone has, and made it available online. I have a suspicion that unless it gets mirrored elsewhere, or the software gets packaged for easy installation, everyone will crowd onto that one site and it'll buckle under the load in no time.

Anyway, this particular transformation came out strangely like some NA authors' conceptions of the TARDIS. Those roundels are really eyes!

Then there's Jamie and Victoria, where the yeti chasing them becomes a many-legged dog... thing. Also Jamie has three eyes, and appears to be some kind of eldritch abomination under that kilt.

(Fortunately, my dreams aren't like that. Though last night I had one where Zoë put in a brief appearance — she was one of a group of people, but all the others were in colour while she was monochrome).
