When Hobbies Collide III
Nov. 26th, 2015 10:29 pmOnce upon a time, there was a series of programmes about how to build a model railway, presented by Bob Symes (aka Robert Alexander Baron Schutzmann von Schutzmansdorff). I remember seeing at least one of them on TV when it was repeated at some point. Nowadays it's up on YouTube. My interest in it, then and now, was because the example model was of Horsted Keynes station on the Bluebell.
(Aside: Everyone on the show makes me wince by mispronouncing 'Keynes'. In this context, it should be pronounced 'Canes', not 'Keens'.)
What caught my attention this time was in episode 2, when Symes introduced the man who was going to build the model landscape and buildings. He was none other than Jack "Unity Is Strength" Kine.
