The benefit(?) of hindsight

The other day I happened across an episode of Jigsaw with Sylvester McCoy and David Rappaport as the O-men. After so many years of seeing McCoy as the Seventh Doctor, I was mentally shouting at the villain "Don't you know who that is? That's the Doctor! He'll bring you to ruin by turning your strength against you!"

Which... is pretty much what then happened.

Also recently, I was rereading the passage from Robert Westall's Futuretrack Five, where our hero is going up against an automated set of turret guns by the name of Arcdos. Being now aware of Portal, I couldn't help but imagine the turrets talking with Ellen McLain's voice. "De-ploy-ing..."
