Trick or Treat meme

In honour of All Hallow's Eve, I'm inviting trick-or-treaters to my 'door.' Comment "trick-or-treat" to this post and...well, you know the drill. Treats can be anything that strikes my fancy (pics of fave actors or pairings, one sentence fics, graphics, a few words why I'm glad to have you on my flist, etc. etc) The more "houses" to visit the more fun it'll be, so go ahead, open your journal and help spread the fun!

I don't think we ever did an It Will Come For Your Children for Clara...

"Who's this?" Ashildr asked, stepping out of the diner's back room.

Clara made shushing gestures at her. "Not important!" She turned back to the Doctor. "No! I don't have any children! And there's no point coming back later, because I can't have them! I'm..." She waved her hands wildly. "Undead!"

"Undead?" The Doctor aimed his sonic screwdriver at her, and his eyes widened. "You're right, your heart isn't beating. But no-one could do something like that, except... a Time Lord! Did the Master do this to you?"

"He didn't tell me his name," Clara said, trying not to look shifty.

What could it be but vampires?

Mina glanced around guiltily, though the night and fog blanketing the churchyard were ample to conceal her from the sharpest of prying eyes. Her own eyes seemed to be adapting to the dark; she hardly needed the flickering jack o'lantern to find her way to the Weston family vault.

To her relief (or was it disappointment?) the vault appeared intact, its rusty lock clearly undisturbed. She turned away—

A gentle hand touched her on the shoulder, and she choked back a scream.

"Darling Mina," Lucy's voice whispered softly in her ear. "How kind of you to pay me a visit."

Mags clambered to her feet and wiped her mouth.

"Well done, my girl," Captain Cook said, sounding as if he might have been praising a dog for retrieving a thrown stick. "Come along, now."

Mags lingered, looking down at the motionless body of the guard.

"Did I really have to kill him?" she asked.

The Captain squeezed her shoulder. "Well, he wasn't going to let us past otherwise, was he? You mustn't let him prey on your mind."

"But... couldn't you just have bought a ticket?"

Captain Cook patted his bulging moneybelt. "Ah, if only I'd had the right change."

”Can you describe the woman?" Adam asked.

Georgie closed her eyes, to aid recollection. "She was a short girl with dark hair. Wearing an old style green dress, like someone in a play. And carrying a bunch of keys."

“That does agree with the stories of Lady Matilda's ghost," Adam said thoughtfully. "Did she say anything?"

“No, just stood there till I got out of the way."

“So she could see you?"

“Yes, why?"

Adam jumped to his feet. "Then she's no ghost, merely a nefarious impostor. The genuine Lady Matilda would never have let your clothing pass without comment."
