Well, it seems this is what JMS will be doing now he's missed out on the Doctor Who Hot Seat.

Interesting if true. I've often wondered what B5 would have looked like without the switch of commander necessitated by Michael O'Hare's illness. If this comes to fruition we may even get to see it.

It'd also be interesting to see what could be done with a modern-day effects budget and animatronics. Would they be able to pull off Delenn's metamorphosis changing her gender, as had originally been planned? And what would the Vorlons and Shadows look like?

Also: If this does happen, I hope they find someone as good as Christopher Franke to be the composer (Franke himself has presumably retired by now).

(On the trivial level, I can see why the assumption is that the commander's going to be John Sheridan again, but I'd find it more amusing if he was Jeffrey Sheridan. Or had a different JS name entirely, just to help disambiguate).

Aw, I hope it works out well!

I do wish people would consider sequels and things like instead of reboots all the time, though. I do not do well with that whole thing. Wrong actors, nope, sorry, I'm out of here. (Although given that also I nearly burst during the 5-6 eps without G'kar in S1, I doubt I would survive a B5 with 0% Andreas Katsulas, so that makes things easy in decisions of what to watch if it ever falls my way.)

He has explained it, sort of — he couldn't do a sequel in the same continuity when there are so few of the original cast left.
