Amazing what you can do with AI these days

It's doubtless the height of egotism, but I've been experimenting with getting AI to make covers and/or illustrations for some of my fanfic. The tool of choice this time was Google ImageFX.

In general, it doesn't do too badly with two or three people in the picture, but it seemed to find the half-dozen required for a Jamie's Angels ensemble pretty taxing. And while it's pretty good with spelling, pretty good is not perfect.

(That one's The Blotched Soldier, but it insisted on doing the title in ideographs)

Well, I can honestly say an anime version of Jamie and his squad is something I didn't know I wanted. :P

I had a threefold motive for getting the generator to draw anime-style. Firstly the whole Jamie's Angels concept is a tongue-in-cheek take on a harem anime. Secondly Party Tricks is the one where Sam spends most of it in a (parody of a) Sailor Mercury costume. And thirdly, although the generator can do more realistic images (like this or this) the anime style means I don't have to worry so much about whether the individuals depicted resemble the original characters.
