Author's notes: In a sense, this originates in the loves_them_all Companion Mash-Up Drabblethon of fond memory. One of the prompts was 'Lucie / Victoria / mud', for which I wrote a ficlet. But the combination piqued my imagination, and I've wanted to write something more substantial with these two companions since then.

As with my previous multipart fic, I'll try to upload a chapter daily on Teaspoon, and post here only when it's complete.
